01. Introduction to Liberalism

Liberalism is a coherent vision made of various components, and that can be grasped complementarily from different values: Liberty, Individualism, Skepticism about power, Rule of law, Tolerance, Peace, Responsibility & Spontaneous order.

02. Liberty

Liberty is liberalisms most essential value. It provides one the ability to do as one pleases. Thus, liberty entails the responsible use of freedom under the rule of law without depriving anyone else of their freedom.

03. Individualism

Individualism is the belief that every person is unique and independent from each other, which can also imply that the government should not interfere with your individual affairs. In a liberal view of society, individuals are the main focus!

04. Skepticism about Power

Skepticism about Power is a deep and profound insight into the human psyche, about the impact of being in power on our behavior. It is the realization of the potential abuse of power through exploitation and domination.

05. Rule of Law

Rule of law is the most powerful tool that prevents the abuse of power. It covers the institutions that protect us from the arbitrary whim of any ruler—no matter how good the intentions of these rulers are.

06. Tolerance

Tolerance is the core virtue of liberalism and underpins all laws and all values. Tolerance is what enables us to recognize the worth of each individual and most importantly to ensure peace in our modern societies of Social Cooperation.
